CEO: Josh James
Josh is a co-founder of MyComputer.com. Before MyComputer.com, Josh co-founded JP Interactive, Utah's largest web development company and ran it profitably for two years with 20 employees. Josh also co-founded ScriptSearch.com, which became the Internet's largest resource for CGI scripts. ScriptSearch.com was sold to Internet.com (INTM) for a 2,000% annualized ROI. Josh studied Business Management and Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University. In addition to his duties as CEO of MyComputer.com, Josh also enjoys working with young entrepreneurs as a mentor and participating in the Young Entrepreneur's Organization (YEO). He frequently gives lectures to entrepreneurs and has also served as an advisor and board member to several Internet companies. Prior to founding MyComputer.com, Josh invented a product and was awarded a patent.
President/COO: John Pestana
John is one of the founding partners of MyComputer.com. John oversees the operation s of the company and ensures corporate initiatives are disseminated in a coordinated fashion to all departments of the company. Prior to starting MyComputer.com John founded two other successful Internet ventures, ScriptSearch.com and JP Interactive. Under his leadership JP Interactive quickly became the one of the largest web development agencies in Utah. ScriptSearch.com became the internet's largest resource for CGI scripts, attracting the attention of MecklerMedia Inc. (Internet.com) who purchased ScriptSearch.com for a 2000% return on investment.
Chief Financial Officer: Andrew J. Hartsfield
Andrew joined MyComputer.com as Chief Financial Officer in July 1999. Prior to joining MyComputer.com, Andrew was the Chief Financial Officer and VP of Business Development at Zuka Juice, Inc. where over two-and-a-half years, he helped transform Zuka from a two store chain with $1.3 million in revenues to a 105 store chain with $50 million in annualized sales. Andrew culminated his career with Zuka by leading its sale to Jamba Juice in a stock-for-stock purchase transaction. From February 1996 through December 1996, Andrew was employed by Evans & Sutherland, a Utah-based computer firm, where he worked in corporate finance and accounting. Prior to Evans & Sutherland, Andrew spent three years with Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., an international investment banking firm in New York City, where he worked in health care and emerging markets corporate finance. Andrew graduated from Brigham Young University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Executive VP Development/CTO: Brett Error
Brett came to MyComputer.com in November, 1998. As Executive VP of Development, Brett has built a staff of 35 developers and managers. In addition to building an experienced development team, Brett implemented documentation, source control and coding standard policies. Prior to joining the company, Brett founded and managed a regional web development agency where he serviced such clients as the Better Business Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. Concurrently, Brett also managed a regional ISP, which was recently purchased by a large, publicly traded service provider. Brett holds a BS in Biology from the University of Utah.
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing: Robert B. Jeppsen
Rob joined MyComputer.com as Vice President of Marketing in July, 1999. Prior to joining the MyComputer.com team, Rob served as Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Direct1.com, a provider of real-time customer feedback systems. In a 5-month period, Rob successfully brokered the sale of Direct1 to Computer Science Corporation, the largest systems integrator in the United States, in a stock-for-stock transaction. Rob's experience prior to Direct1 includes acting as Sterling Wentworth Corporation's sales manager for the Eastern and Midwestern United States regions, as well as serving as the Director of Alliance Marketing. In this capacity, Rob successfully launched new technologies and his efforts led to an acquisition by SunGard Data systems. Rob's other sales & marketing experience includes work with Hewlett Packard's LaserJet 4 product series and Intelisys. Rob received his BS in Marketing from Brigham Young University in 1994.
Senior Vice President Business Development: Ben Peterson
Ben joined MyComputer.com as Vice President of Business Development in September, 1998. Ben majored in Business Management with an Entrepreneurship emphasis at Brigham Young University. Prior to joining
MyComputer.com, Ben traveled nationally consulting small online business and selling corporate packages for Galaxy Enterprises, Inc. Ben consistently led the company in total corporate sales volume. As one of the first members of the management team at MyComputer.com, Ben structured the advertising sales team and grew ad revenue from 0 to over $200K per month. Ben also started the Business Development department, and in addition to hiring the business development team, has successfully negotiated partnership deals with Homestead, theglobe, Go2Net, Netopia, and Trellix, amongst others.
