New Service Helps Owners of Small Sites to Make Effective Marketing Decisions
Provo, Utah-SuperStats.com, the Web's leading provider of free Web site statistics, today launched the Web's first truly free Web site tracking service. SuperStats Lite, targeted at small Web site owners, is the first service to track Web site activity without requiring owners to pay a monthly fee or give up space for advertising. The new service is available now at www.mycomputer.com, SuperStats' recently announced network for webmasters (see www.mycomputer.com/company/press_release.html).
SuperStats Lite provides basic reports on page hits, daily visitors and lists of the top five browsers, operating systems, domains, referrers and search engines used in locating and browsing a particular site. As with all SuperStats tracking services, information is presented in real-time without requiring lengthy downloads or time-consuming log file analysis. The new product also eliminates the need to store any data locally and can provide up-to-the-minute information 24 hours per day from any Web connection in the world.
"SuperStats Lite is a tremendous free marketing tool for small companies or individuals that are using the Web to promote a product or service," said Josh James, CEO and co-founder of SuperStats.com. "Knowing something about who is coming to your site, when they're coming, how they found you, how long they're staying, where they're coming from and the types of products they're using to access your site all can have a significant bearing on marketing decisions. Now there's a solution that provides all of that completely free of cost, obligation and hassle."
Webmasters interested in using the new SuperStats service need to first register at www.mycomputer.com, then place a small piece of invisible code on the pages they wish to track. An optional method is to place a visible SuperStats button on the pages. Webmasters can choose to either make their site statistics public or protect them from viewing by outsiders. Examples of the types of information provided by SuperStats Lite and all other SuperStats site tracking services are available at www.mycomputer.com.
"SuperStats Lite is our way of introducing people to the wide variety of free and low-cost tools available at MyComputer.com, also known as 'the Webmasters Network'," said John Pestana, president and co-founder of SuperStats.com. "We encourage webmasters everywhere to take advantage of our other free services such as adding a free user poll or, free site and Web search capabilities, or any of hundreds of other utilities to make Web sites more useful and interesting."
