MyComputer.com Selected by MediaNews Group to Provide Web Analytics for Online News Publications

Owner of The Denver Post, The Daily News of Los Angeles and 49 other daily newspaper operations begins using SuperStats Enterprise v6.0 to track Web traffic for Internet publications throughout 12 states

Orem, UT (October 10, 2001) - MyComputer.com today announced that MediaNews Group Inc. (MNG) has selected SuperStats Enterprise v6.0 to monitor the Web sites for MNG's 49 daily newspapers, including The Daily News of Los Angeles and The Denver Post, among others.

Central to MNG's decision to change vendors for its Web site analysis service is MyComputer.com's unique ability to simultaneously track and aggregate real-time data from any Internet browser for MNG's 49 daily newspapers with 168 different Web site addresses. MNG also sought an affordable solution that required minimal to no maintenance and no additional personnel or equipment.

"Our hunt for a new Web analysis tool initially began because our needs had outgrown our existing solution," said Eric Grilly, vice president, interactive media at MediaNews Group. "Because of the large number of Web sites we operate, we required a solution that provides easy maintenance, comprehensive data reporting and the ability to download statistics on a weekly basis. After intensive research and conferring with other media organizations, SuperStats's ASP model and proprietary technology delivered a solution that could be easily customized to fit our unique needs."

MyComputer.com has configured SuperStats to give MNG employees unique login permission rights for accessing relevant information about the company's network of Web sites, as well as aggregated statistics for common sections (such as Sports or Weather) on all MNG Web sites. With SuperStats, MNG managers can now download statistical reports that are relevant to their individual responsibilities, as well as evaluate Web site performance on a nationwide, regional or individual publication basis.

SuperStats is the only technology that allows businesses to "roll-up" (or summarize) detailed data across multiple Web sites, so marketers and managers can view the individual, regional and global "picture" of their Web sites' performance.

"MyComputer.com continues to make technological advances in SuperStats, further demonstrating our commitment to our customers and our leadership in the Web analytics industry," said Josh James, chief executive of MyComputer.com. "We're pleased that MediaNews Group, as well as other media companies, have turned to MyComputer.com to support their online marketing and advertising efforts. SuperStats gives business decision-makers the most comprehensive reporting capabilities to evaluate their Web site investments."
