Omniture Appoints Mike Montrose as VP of Business Development

Technology Sales and Management Veteran to Drive Strategic Relationships with Key Industry Players and Provide Strategy for Executing Omniture's Business Development Efforts

OREM, Utah (November 11, 2002) Omniture, the leader in providing adaptable, next-generation web analytics to large, complex websites, today announced that Mike Montrose has joined the company as vice president of business development. Montrose, most recently vice president of sales for Cerberian, a Web-based network security services company, brings over sixteen years of experience in technology and media. As vice president of business development at Omniture, Montrose will be responsible for evaluating and driving strategic alliances and partnerships.

"Mike brings to Omniture a tremendous amount of experience in developing strategic relationships with key industry players," said Josh James, chief executive officer of Omniture. "His technology sales expertise and track record of business innovation will be a great asset to the company."

Most recently, in his role as vice president of sales for Cerberian, he created a reseller channel for North America, directing 55 technical sales representatives, and collaborated in building OEM relationships with more than thirty leading network security manufacturers, including Cisco, SonicWall and Computer Associates. Prior to Cerberian, Montrose was part of early management at Ticketmaster Online CitySearch, the #1 online guide to local information and events, where he built early sales momentum and managed a large team in one of their first four markets. He participated in CitySearch's merger with Ticketmaster, the acquisition of CitySearch's largest competitor, Microsoft Sidewalk, and helped guide the organization's growth through transitional business models and a highly successful public offering (NASDAQ). Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University where he was also Editor-In-Chief of its daily newspaper.

"Over the past several years, I've worked with numerous companies in creating strategic partnerships and distribution channels," said Montrose. "Partners want powerful, stable technology that gives them competitive advantage in their markets, that commands them higher margins and where appropriate allows them to supplement the product with services. Omniture is in a unique position to lead the marketing intelligence industry because we have created a product that answers the questions most asked by marketing professionals and website owners. Already, we are creating strategic relationships with key industry players such as Microsoft, and I am looking forward to building a world-class alliance program that firmly establishes Omniture as the leading high-value, high-return partner in Web analytics."
